The traditional "welcome event" for the freshmen of 2017 autumn will be taking place as a checkpoint tour around the river Kemijoki!

Freshmen from different studying programmes will be competing for the highly wanted Kuksajaiset-trophies on a checkpoint tour with the checkpoints measuring skills, knowledge and team spirit!

As it is a special year for Finland, 6th of December marking 100 years of independence, the theme for Kuksajaiset will be Suomi100 (Finland 100 years). Dress up accordingly, with the theme allowing basically anything recognizable in Finland's history to be used. Use your imagination together with your team to come up with the funniest and best costumes possible!

The afterparty together with the award ceremony will take place in Half Moon Night Club. Tickets for the afterparty will be available starting September 12th via ROTKO offices, ticket stands (stand schedules will be published later on) and for 6€ each. The price includes the cloakroom service as well as a unique, awesome patch for your overalls!

We will be organizing a free bus ride to and from the event for all the freshmen students studying in Kemi and Tornio. The return buses will be departing Rovaniemi after the checkpoint tour as well as later in the night to allow the possibility to take part in the afterparty for Kemi and Tornio students as well. The bus schedules will be published on 20th of September latest as they are dependant on the amount of attendants and their return schedule wishes.

Registration will close 19.9.
